Collection: LAURA TATE

Laura Tate is a self taught artist born and raised in Charlotte, NC, with a deep rooted love for western culture. She grew up around horses with a family who showed in Western Pleasure and currently has a sister living out west in Colorado. By taking a western direction in her artwork, Laura feels connected to her childhood and closer to her sister miles and miles away.

Laura’s collaging materials come from a collection of vintage magazines, photos and newspapers from the 20's, 30's, 40's and 50’s. She uses these found materials and transforms them into cowboys, boots and cowboy hats. In doing this, she gives new life to the old in a fun, sustainable way.
